Animals Are Traumatised Too: Pet Rescuers Under Fire in Ukraine
As the war in eastern Ukraine continues to devastate communities, a growing number of dedicated animal rescue teams are risking their lives to save dogs, cats and other animals caught in the conflict zones. These volunteers are drawing attention to the often-overlooked psychological toll that war takes on the animal population left behind amid the destruction.
